Setting Up BUY Signal Alerts

Murray Money Pro signals fire in real time on your TradingView charts. This guide shows you how to make sure every BUY label reaches your phone the instant it appears — no chart-watching required.

How Alerts Work

When a BUY label fires on a chart, TradingView triggers any alerts you've configured for that indicator. There are two ways to receive them:

  1. Push notification — straight to your phone via the TradingView app (free, instant)
  2. Webhook — sent to a URL of your choice (for integrations, bots, or custom dashboards)

For most members, push notifications are all you need. Set up the TradingView app, enable push alerts on each chart, and a notification arrives the moment a label fires.

Step 1 — Enable Push Notifications in TradingView

On desktop:

  1. Go to tradingview.com and sign in
  2. Click your profile icon (top-right)
  3. Go to Settings → Notifications
  4. Enable Mobile app push notifications

On your phone:

  1. Install the TradingView app (iOS / Android)
  2. Sign into the same TradingView account
  3. Allow notifications when prompted by the app

You only need to do this once. All alerts you create will automatically deliver push notifications to your phone.

Step 2 — Create an Alert for Each Asset

For each asset on your watchlist, open the chart in TradingView with the Murray Pro indicator active, then:

  1. Right-click any BUY label on the chart
(If no labels exist yet, right-click anywhere on the indicator line or panel)
  2. Select "Add alert on MURRAY PRO · [Tier name]..."
  3. Configure the alert:

| Setting | Value | |---------|-------| | Condition | Any alert() function call | | Frequency | Once per bar (recommended) | | Expiry | Open-ended | | Name | E.g. "BTC Trend BUY" |

  1. Under Notifications:
    • ✅ Enable Mobile app push notification
    • Optionally enable Email as a backup
  2. Click Create

Repeat for each asset and each tier you want to track.

Tip: Create separate alerts for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 on each asset if you use multiple tiers. Name them clearly so you know which tier fired (e.g. "BTC · Tier 1 BUY", "BTC · Tier 2 BUY").

Step 3 — Test Your Alert Setup

To confirm alerts are working before you rely on them:

  1. Go to TradingView → Alerts (bell icon in the right sidebar)
  2. You'll see all your active alerts listed
  3. On your phone, send a test notification by going to TradingView app → Settings → Test notification

A push notification should arrive within a few seconds.

Alert Message Format

When a Murray Pro BUY fires, the push notification will show the alert name you set (e.g. "BTC · Tier 1 BUY") with the standard TradingView notification body.

The full signal detail — entry price, stop loss, TP1, TP2, position size, and conviction score — is visible on the chart label itself. Open TradingView on your phone immediately after the notification arrives to review the label details before executing.

Webhook Alerts (Advanced)

Webhooks send the alert to a URL instead of (or in addition to) your phone. This is useful if you want to:

  • Log signals to a spreadsheet automatically
  • Send alerts to a Telegram or Slack channel
  • Trigger a custom dashboard or notification system

To set up a webhook:

  1. In the alert creation screen, go to Notifications → Webhook URL
  2. Paste your webhook endpoint
  3. The webhook will receive a JSON payload each time a signal fires

Murray Money Pro alert payloads follow TradingView's standard alert message format. The message body is configurable — add {{ticker}}, {{close}}, {{time}} variables to customise what's sent.

Note: Webhooks require a TradingView paid plan (Essential or above). Push notifications work on the free plan.

Managing Your Alerts

To view all active alerts:
TradingView → Alerts panel (bell icon in right sidebar)

To edit or delete an alert:
Click the three-dot menu next to any alert in the Alerts panel

Alert limits by plan:

| TradingView Plan | Alert limit | |-----------------|------------| | Free | 1 active alert | | Essential | 20 active alerts | | Plus | 100 active alerts | | Premium | Unlimited |

For a watchlist of 5–10 assets across two tiers, the Essential plan (£9.99/mo) is sufficient. If you run Tier 1 and Tier 2 on 10 assets, that's 20 alerts — the exact Essential limit.

Recommended Alert Setup (5-Asset Watchlist)

| Asset | Tier 1 | Tier 2 | |-------|--------|--------| | BTC | ✅ Alert | ✅ Alert | | ETH | ✅ Alert | ✅ Alert | | SOL | ✅ Alert | ✅ Alert | | Gold | ✅ Alert | — | | S&P 500 | ✅ Alert | — |

This gives you 7 alerts — well within the free plan's limit if you focus on Tier 1 only, or the Essential plan if you run both.

What to Do When an Alert Fires

  1. Open TradingView on your phone immediately
  2. Navigate to the alerted asset (the notification will name it)
  3. Read the BUY label: Entry, Stop, TP1, TP2, position size
  4. Check the Conviction Score shown in the info panel
  5. Cross-reference the Asset Matrix (from the latest Weekly Pulse) — is this asset rated IN?
  6. If score ≥ 4 and asset is rated IN: Execute the trade at market open or next bar open
  7. Set price alerts for your stop loss level and TP1 level

The whole process from alert to executed trade takes under 5 minutes.
