Reading the Asset Signal Matrix
The Asset Signal Matrix is delivered in every Weekly Pulse and Monthly Edition. It gives you a single, clear verdict on each major asset class: IN, HOLD, or OUT. No interpretation required.
The Three Verdicts
✅ IN Three or more pillars are green. The asset is in an environment where the system's BUY signals have edge. Look for Tier 1 and Tier 2 setups on this asset. Position sizes at or above base.
〰️ HOLD Mixed signals. The asset is in an uncertain environment. If you're already in a position, maintain it and let the stop manage risk. Do not add. If you're flat, wait for a cleaner setup.
❌ OUT / RISK-OFF Two or fewer pillars are green. The system's signals have no edge in this environment. Stay flat. If you have a position, consider taking profits and letting the stop act as a last resort.
The Four Pillars
Each asset is evaluated on four independent pillars:
1. Price vs Moving Average
Is the asset above or below its 200-day moving average? Above = structurally bullish. The 200DMA is the most widely-watched trend filter used by institutional investors globally. Price above it means the majority of capital deployed in the past year is in profit.
2. Momentum / On-Chain
For crypto: MVRV, SOPR, NUPL, exchange reserves, long-term holder supply. For traditional assets: RSI regime, earnings trends, relative strength. This pillar measures whether current buyers are paying fair value or whether the market is stretched.
3. Flows / Macro
Where is institutional money moving? ETF flows, central bank positioning, yield curve, DXY direction, Fed policy signals. This is the macro tide that either helps or fights your trade.
4. Narrative / Sentiment
What is the dominant market story right now? Narratives drive capital allocation, especially in crypto. A strong narrative with weak fundamentals is a warning. Strong fundamentals with a forming narrative is an opportunity.
Verdict Thresholds
| Pillars Green | Verdict | |--------------|---------| | 3 or 4 | ✅ IN | | 2 | 〰️ HOLD | | 0 or 1 | ❌ OUT |
How to Use the Matrix with Your Signals
The Matrix provides the strategic backdrop. The TradingView indicators provide the tactical entries.
Step 1: Check the Matrix on Monday morning (Weekly Pulse) or the 1st of the month (Monthly Edition).
Step 2: Only actively look for entries on assets rated IN. Hold your positions on HOLD assets. Consider reducing or protecting positions on OUT assets.
Step 3: When a TradingView signal fires, cross-reference with the Matrix. A 5/6 Conviction Score on an asset rated IN is the highest-quality setup in the system. A 5/6 score on an asset rated OUT is a warning to be cautious.
Step 4: The Matrix gives no entry timing — that's the indicator's job. The Matrix tells you where to look.
